Small Zlatovez Flower Brooch Necklace (Ogrlica Broš Zlatovez)

A unique piece of jewelry, this lovely little flower brooch is hand-embroidered with metallic golden thread on black fabric with an attached pin on the back. Also comes with a gold-colored chain to be worn as a necklace. It comes in a gift box from the artist.

The technique of hand-embroidery with gold thread (zlatovez) is traditional to eastern Croatia. This necklace is entirely handmade, as are the finest pieces. The artisan has been hand-embroidering for the past 27 years, and takes her inspiration for designs from the traditional costumes of Slavonia and Baranja.

Pair with a zlatovez scarf by the same artist to make even the simplest outfit stunning.

Size: Round flower approx. 4 cm across; chain approx. 42 cm; total drop is 24 cm including flower.
